I spent six years working at Laurel Skin & Beauty. Front of house, the diary, the clients, the products, and eventually the social media. It was a small business, and I saw every day how much the owner had to carry and how little time was left over for the part that actually brings people through the door.

Around 2021 I started running the socials properly. Planning, shooting on my phone, posting, watching what landed. When a post worked, the phone rang. That was the moment the penny dropped for me: content isn't decoration, it's the thing that fills the diary.

In my final year at the University of Limerick, studying a Bachelor of Science in Social Science, I left Laurel and started Kiki Kreative. I began with social media management for local businesses, finishing my degree at the same time.

That summer I went travelling in America and kept the business going from the other side of the Atlantic, working with clients back home and picking up new ones over there. When I came home, I went full time.

Self-employment has real highs and real lows, and I've had both. I've worked with skincare brands, restaurants, electricians, play studios, hotels, events and founders, and every one taught me something about what people actually need from their content.

Social media changes constantly, so my services changed with it. The one thing that stayed the same: the content has to do a job. Sales, bookings, website visits, enquiries. Everything is tracked, what works gets studied, and the next round is built on it.

Today it's mostly content shoots. Founder content, product, events, whatever the business needs, planned so the content has somewhere to go before we ever press record. Stills and video together, edited fast, delivered in the formats you'll actually use.

Alongside that I work as a creative partner on strategy: what to make, how to post it and when, then making it, editing it and getting it out there. If you've got a vision, I'll bring it to life. If you don't have one yet, that's what the first call is for.
